DRIVING AT WORK COMPLIANCE
Viamaster Training’s Driving at Work Courses assist employers meet their Health & Safety Compliance obligations for employees required to drive at work. The training courses we provide are to guidelines as outlined in HSE and Dept of Transport guidance document Driving at Work. Courses are available for LGV / PCV / Van / company car drivers
The Driver Development Course aims to reduce accident potential and claims, by assessing and developing the drivers hazard awareness and driving skills. Also, improve fuel efficiency by training the driver in fuel efficient driving techniques.
The assessment is 1 day on the job, the driver being accompanied by an instructor whilst undertaking their normal driving duties. A driver file is completed for each driver, marked using a simple “traffic light” system of assessment, where green shows competent, amber training issues dealt with during the day, and red indicates serious or potentially dangerous driving. The driver file can be issued to either the driver or the employer in line with company policy. We recommend the file is held by the company to show evidence of compliance with HSE requirements.
